Fitness-Meals Aug 31

Accountability is the key to success.

I had a great w/out today 90 min! A mix of jogging, boxing, yoga, and pilates w/ band.

Bfast-1 cup Indian chai,ย 20 oz.ย breakfast smoothie/meal (1 banana, some grapes, aronia berries, 8 oz RWP, 2 tbs. “otrubi” (russian food) and 2 tbsp flaxmeal, 1 tbsp. cocoa, .5 tsp ginger, .5 tsp cardamon, 1 tbsp honey) Blended to perfection. I also had 1 small baked eggplant. Weird combination but I’ve been having a craving for eggplants so this morning I made a ton to eat throughout the day ๐Ÿ™‚

Ballet Lessons?

Maybe I’ve caught the ballet bug thats been going around lately because I’ve started to do barre work like there’s no tomorrow. I’m happy to report it’s working. ๐Ÿ™‚ Now I’ve gone a step further and found a former Russian ballerina who has agreed to give me lessons for a reasonable price. What’s next? A tutu? Who knows… All I know is that ballet is a beautiful art form and a great workout. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ll keep you posted on my progress. For those that want a more commercial type workout, I suggest Core Fusion and Barre 3. They are great for toning those stubborn thigh muscles!

Who do you think you are?

You are who you think you are, of course. So seemingly simple, yet many of us are plagued by negative thoughts, emotions, and concepts about ourselves and the world around us. Let’s get out of this rut! Stop beating yourself up about every little thing. None of us are perfect. Those that think they’re perfect are quite far from it. We make mistakes and take punches. The important thing is to keep sight of the life you want to live and move forward towards that destination.

Thoughts of Summer

Today at 7 am, as I and a Spanish botanist drank tea together, she looked longingly outside the window, where a cold winter like day is brewing, and said, “So, summer’s really over in Siberia?”. “Yep,” I replied. Summer is ending and with winter come less opportunities to eat healthy in Siberia.

This is why I supplement.

Here is a list of new supplements I want to try this winter:

  • zeolite
  • norweigien fish oil (pharma grade)-have taken in past
  • maca, goldenberries, acai powders from Navitas (they are awesome)
  • noni juice
  • chlorella-have taken in past
  • Vit B complex -have taken in past

Eat well to look like this next summer! ๐Ÿ˜‰ (which in Siberia is in 9 months)

Antioxidize it!

Summer’s coming to an end and it’s more than ever to get a ton of nutrients in before the cold winter months (esp. if your winter lasts until June!)

Here are some great super berries to eat (if you can find them in the states). I know acai and goji berries have been all the rage, but these awesome berries are unique and super packed w/ nutrients:

Dont forget about more common goodies like blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and cherries…And buy organic of course!

You can say that again

early morning melodies

wake up call 5 am

my feet hit the pavement

iย am free again

to be me

to break out of the chains

the nightmares that haunted me

turn into distant memories

cease their existance

stress melts

i fly

its 40

ridiculously early

i run for an hour

30 minutes of yoga

have to feel the asanas

lose myself in the flow

prayers come

i soar

deep, thwift

freezing waters

embrace me

cleanse me

lend me

a new way of being

i make a banana smoothie

revel in the sweetness

the aroma of goodness

bid my friends good morning

retire to my lair

to watch some french news

Eat, Pray, Exercise =Love

Lately I’ve been less consciencious about what I eat (I still eat organic, healthy) but perhaps larger portions, which is fine because I’m aiming for 115…and that means gaining a few. My exercise routine has gotten more innovative. I’m using Miranda Kerr’s Ballet Body exercises and the VSX sport workouts (all found on Youtube). Today I woke up around 5, hungry for some reason, had an indian chia, oatmeal cookie (homemade, w/honey not sugar which I absolutely stay away from), and a cup of full fat, raw organic cottage cheese. I power walked 40 min and did a 1 hr pilates w/band/yoga combo. For lunch I had an egg, sauteed veggies, 10 ounce green shake w/ RWP (raw whey protein) , and 2 oatmeal cookies, and of course like 4 cups of green tea. I’m a big tea drinker. I had an early dinner at 4 because I was ravenous for some reason (but its kinda nice bc I usually have no appetite) of potatoes, sauteed veggies, 10 oz green shake w/RWP, and 2 oatmeal cookies, and like 10 pieces of 99% raw dark chocolate, and an apple my friend L brought from way up in the Siberian “Alps”. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yummy ๐Ÿ™‚

I think my greater appetite coincides with feeling less stress (since I moved) and a more relaxed attitude towards my body ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s to a fun and relaxed (rest of) summer

My Dream

a cabin by the river with a mountain view

an organic, relaxed, quality life

to be surrounded by like minded people seeking enlightenment

helping those in need
